Searching to play golf in Arizona, look no further than the Verrado Golf Club in Buckeye. Verrado, which is nestled in the White Tank Mountains, hosts two Championship Golf Courses designed by PGA Tour player Tom Lehman. These two beautiful courses are a short drive west of Phoenix.
The Founder’s Course, which was the first golf course in Verrado has been consistently chosen as one of the best courses to play in Arizona over the years. The Victory Course which is located within the Active Adult Community of Victory at Verrado is enjoyed by all ages and skill levels. Both courses can be challenging for the skilled player and a variety of tee boxes make it enjoyable for anyone wanting to enjoy a round of golf as well as taking in the White Tank Mountains and all it brings including the wildlife. It should be noted that Golf Publications such as Golf Week, Golf Magazine and Golf Digest have recognized both courses as topped ranked in Arizona.
My favorite hole on each course
My favorite hole is the Par 5 Signature 18th hole on the Victory Course. For one the views of the White Tank Mountains are spectacular including the birds-eye view you get of Tiger Mountain and the water on this hole just adds to the beauty. You can also challenge yourself by teeing off at one of the tee boxes that forces you to take the driver out of your bag and hit over the water which is no easy task. Truly a hole to remember.
At the Founder’s course, I always look forward to playing the Par 3 3rd hole. With the elevated tee boxes, weather conditions and hole location in back of the green, this par 3 can be quite challenging. Choosing the right club will be the key. Like the entire Founder’s course, the views from the elevated tee boxes on this par 3 are magnificent.
